Historical photographs of China.

Visualizing China is a project that explores and enhances over 8,000 digitized images and photos taken between 1850 and 1950. Many of these documents come from private collections that are difficult to access. The site is divided into sub-collections and albums. Material is licensed under Creative Commons By Nc Nd. This site is the result of a collaboration between several university institutions which want to offer the general public access to rare documents on China.
